The book
Academic Writing and Research — A Practical Guide for International Students in Korean Universities
Written by Yong-Jik Lee, Ph.D., Assistant Professor at Changwon National University. The volume runs to 57 pages and sixteen chapters, moving from entering an academic community, through building each section of a manuscript, to sharing research and sustaining a writing practice.
Fidelity to the source
This edition reproduces the author's PDF as printed. No sentence was added, removed, or rewritten. Three things were done:
- Paragraphs broken across PDF layout lines were rejoined.
- Running heads and page numbers were removed.
- Section headings, learning objectives, key terms, applications, and reflection questions were marked up as structured blocks.
An automated check confirmed 100% word-level preservation across all sixteen chapters (zero words missing, zero broken links).
The Worked revision sections are set as a two-column “Weak / Stronger” table in the print original. The web edition reproduces that text in sequence and notes the difference in each chapter.
How to read
- Progress bar — the top rule shows how far you have read in the chapter.
- Dark mode — the ◐ button; it follows your system setting by default.
- Checklist — marks are stored in your browser only, never uploaded.
- Keyboard — ← and → move between chapters.
- Print — printing hides navigation and keeps the text alone.
